في الأسبوع نفسه الذي أُعلن فيه عن جولة Norm، برز تطور آخر منفصل لكنه وثيق الصلة، يسلّط الضوء على المساحة الكبيرة المتبقية لخفض تكلفة تشغيل أنظمة الذكاء الاصطناعي القانوني. فقد نشرت منصة Artificial Lawyer تقريراً عن بحث أجرته شركة Syntheia، يقارن بين تقنيات الاسترجاع المُهيكل (Structured Retrieval) والأسلوب التقليدي الأكثر كلفة، وهو حشو نافذة السياق (Context Window) بالمستند كاملاً، طريقة لا تزال شائعة عندما تكون الدقة أولوية قصوى، لكنها تتحول سريعاً إلى عبء مكلف عند التوسع في الاستخدام.

اعتمدت Syntheia على نموذج Claude 4.6 كمحرك اختبار، وأجرت معياراً قياسياً (Benchmark) من 20 سؤالاً مستمدة من عقود ائتمانية فعلية، واتفاقيات شراكة محدودة، وعقود بيع أسهم، وهي بالضبط نوعية العقود الكثيفة التي يُطلب من أدوات الذكاء الاصطناعي القانوني تحليلها باستمرار. أظهرت نتائج الاسترجاع الدلالي القائم على التمثيلات المتجهة (Embedding-based Retrieval) تطابقاً مع أداء حشو المستند الكامل في 18 من أصل 20 سؤالاً، مع معالجة أقل بـ17.3 مرة من عدد الرموز (Tokens). أما تهيئة أخف من التمثيلات المتجهة، فرفعت نسبة توفير الرموز إلى ما يقارب 30 مرة، لكنها تراجعت لتطابق 15 سؤالاً فقط من أصل 20، وهو مقايضة واضحة في الدقة مقابل الكسب الإضافي في الكفاءة.
