An AI agent is a system built on a language model that can plan, use tools, and take multi-step actions toward a goal with limited human supervision, rather than just answering a single question. Examples include agents that browse the web, write and run code, or manage a workflow.
An AI agent is a model given tools and a goal, allowed to decide its own sequence of actions rather than answering once. The distinction from a chatbot is autonomy over steps: it can search, call an API, read the result, and decide what to do next. That autonomy is also the risk surface, an agent that can act can act wrongly, and at machine speed.

الوكيل الذكي نظام مبني على نموذج لغوي يمكنه التخطيط واستخدام الأدوات واتخاذ إجراءات متعددة الخطوات لتحقيق هدف بإشراف بشري محدود، بدلاً من مجرد الإجابة عن سؤال واحد. من الأمثلة عليه وكلاء يتصفحون الويب أو يكتبون الشيفرة البرمجية ويشغّلونها أو يديرون سير عمل كامل.
