A parameter is one of the internal numeric values a model learns and adjusts during training, such as a connection weight in a neural network. The parameter count, often in the billions for large models, is a rough proxy for a model's size and capacity.
A parameter is one adjustable number inside a model, learned during training. Counting them is the industry's rough proxy for capacity, a 70-billion-parameter model has 70 billion such numbers, but the count says nothing about data quality, training method, or usefulness. Two models of the same size can differ enormously, which is why parameter counts make headlines and rarely settle arguments.
The open-weight release has 8 billion parameters.

المُعلَمة إحدى القيم الرقمية الداخلية التي يتعلّمها النموذج ويعدّلها أثناء التدريب، مثل وزن إحدى الروابط في شبكة عصبية. يُعدّ عدد المُعلَمات، الذي يبلغ مليارات في النماذج الكبيرة، مقياساً تقريبياً لحجم النموذج وقدرته.
المعلمة رقمٌ واحدٌ قابلٌ للتعديل داخل النموذج، يُتعلَّم أثناء التدريب. وعدّها هو المؤشر التقريبي الذي تستعمله الصناعة للسعة، فنموذجٌ بسبعين مليار معلمة فيه سبعون مليار رقمٍ كهذا، غير أن العدد لا يقول شيئاً عن جودة البيانات ولا طريقة التدريب ولا الجدوى. وقد يفترق نموذجان متساويا الحجم افتراقاً هائلاً، ولهذا تتصدر أعداد المعلمات العناوين ونادراً ما تحسم جدلاً.
