Fika Jobs Secures $4M Pre-Seed to Launch AI-Powered Video Hiring Platform

Stockholm-based startup Fika Jobs has closed a $4 million pre-seed funding round to advance its video-first hiring platform, which integrates AI interview agents with short-form video candidate profiles. This capital injection, led by Luminar Ventures, saw participation from Alliance VC, alongside notable individual investors Sebastian Knutsson and Riccardo Zacconi, co-founders of King.

Fika Jobs aims to streamline the recruitment process by leveraging artificial intelligence to conduct initial candidate interviews. The platform's AI agents are currently powered by Google's Gemini models, facilitating a structured yet dynamic first interaction. Candidates submit video profiles, which are then complemented by these AI-driven interviews, providing a richer, more nuanced view of applicants beyond traditional résumés.

Platform Rollout and Growth Strategy

Founded by brothers Jakob Dubois (CEO) and Alexander Dubois (CTO), Fika Jobs is poised for an imminent launch. Early access for candidates is scheduled to commence this week, with a broader public rollout anticipated in the fall. The company's initial market focus will be Sweden, before embarking on an international expansion strategy.

Market reception appears strong, with over 100 companies currently on a waitlist. Furthermore, more than 50 companies, including technology firms like Plenty Labs, SICS.ai, Kognity, and Rebtel, have already engaged with and tested the platform, indicating significant early validation. Fika Jobs projects a team expansion to approximately 10 employees by year-end to support its growth trajectory.

Business Model

The platform adopts a distinct monetization strategy: job seekers can access and utilize Fika Jobs without any fees. For employers, the pricing model is performance-based, with a charge equivalent to 10% of a successfully hired candidate's first-year salary.
