MoEngage Fortifies AI-Driven Customer Engagement with Aampe Acquisition

MoEngage has finalized an all-cash acquisition of Aampe, a 2020-founded startup specializing in assigning individual AI agents to customers for hyper-personalized messaging. The deal, reportedly valued in the tens of millions of dollars, integrates Aampe's advanced capabilities into MoEngage's offerings. Aampe boasts over 30 global customers, including brands like Swiggy, Grab, and Taxfix, and recorded a 150% growth in annual recurring revenue (ARR) over the last year. This move follows MoEngage's substantial $280 million funding round just six months prior. Approximately 20 Aampe employees will transition to MoEngage, expanding the combined workforce to around 820 professionals. MoEngage, led by co-founder and CEO Raviteja Dodda, currently serves more than 1,350 consumer brands across 75 countries, enhancing its platform with Aampe's prior $28 million in venture funding from investors such as Peak XV Partners, Z47, and Theory Ventures.

Amazon Rolls Out Alexa+ Beta in India with Hindi Support

Amazon has initiated beta testing for its generative AI-powered conversational assistant, Alexa+, in India, featuring crucial Hindi language support. This expansion follows Alexa+'s global rollout in 2026 to major markets including the U.S. (February 2026), U.K., Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Italy, and Germany. The original Alexa debuted in India with English support in 2017, later gaining Hindi compatibility in 2019. The introduction of Alexa+ to a market with over 600 million Hindi speakers underscores Amazon's commitment to localized AI experiences. Alexa+ is offered complimentary to Prime subscribers, with other users incurring a monthly fee.

Vishal Sikka Unveils Hang Ten Systems to Revolutionize Enterprise Software

Vishal Sikka, the former chief executive of Infosys, has launched a new Bay Area-headquartered startup, Hang Ten Systems, securing a $32 million seed round led by Mayfield, with strategic investment from Aramco Ventures and participation from angel investors including Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang, who joins the board. Hang Ten Systems aims to transform how enterprises build, modify, and operate software through AI-driven development and automation. The company is already working with clients such as Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Fresenius. Sikka's latest venture follows his post-Infosys establishment of VianAI in 2017, which raised $50 million in seed funding in 2019 and a $140 million round in 2021 for its enterprise AI applications. This renewed focus on AI-driven software development aligns with Infosys's own projection that 'AI-first services' could constitute a $300 billion to $400 billion market by 2030, even as Infosys shares have seen a significant decline in the current year.
